Halloween had always been the girl named Chuck's favourite holiday. It was a day that promised monsters and ghouls and maybe a ghost or two. Now that she was a thing that went bump in the night, the day had a different sort of flare, but it nonetheless was enjoyable, especially given the fact that she was back to being her eight year old self, decked out to take on playdoh villages with a single blow.

The little pie maker in the making was very reluctant to take part in Olive and Chuck's excitement about the holiday. Halloween had stopped being enjoyable a very long time ago, and there was nothing to make the sort of pain associated with the ghoulish day magically disappear.

But he would try to pretend, and if some of the girls' enthusiasm rubbed off on him along the way, Ned wouldn't find it in himself to complain. There was something familiar and warming in putting the final touches on a much loved costume on, after all. "Ready."

"Awh that's so cute!" exclaimed the girl named Chuck, giddy on what she was certain to be a combination of her pint-size hormone and the energy of the day. "A Digby-sized Daisy!"
