Congratulations on taking on the mighty feat that is "a break."
For serious, it is a good idea.
I have lots of books that you could read; do you like Calvino? I just finished his 6 Memos, which was basically just a literary analysis of everything you could condure.
But you have to come to Gainesville and visit, mad hangage to be had.

I just finished Sea of Grass by Conrad Richter. It was short but enjoyable. I'm currently reading How Should We Then Live? by Francis Schaeffer. It is pretty good. I think the conclusions he makes at the end of the book are going to be the make or break.

I finally saw No Country For Old Men and loved it. I also hear great things about There Will Be Blood.

Brother, Sister by mewithoutyou is back on my playlist. That and Upbeats and Beatdowns by Five Iron Frenzy.

I can talk to Nick about B&N for you. As far as books go...I just finished The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly. I liked it. Quick read.

Like Sam mentioned, I just finished reading How then should be live? by Francis Schaeffer, so if you were interested in reading it, I would be more than happy to let you borrow it.

I really want to see There will be blood, so if you havent seen it, we should totally go together. AND we should hang out.. so call me sometime!!

Also, I would be happy to provide you with a Ryan Adams anthology for your listening pleasures

waking life? really? it's got that horrible actor from Dazed and Confused in it...you know, the kid who's "thing" is to touch his nose a thousand times in one scene to show whether he's frustrated, excited, upset, nervous, drunk, etc. I couldn't get past the first few minutes.

hahahaha good point but are you saying you don't like dazed and confused? i stand by my recommendation. you know im not a movie person so, trying to think of a movie that i have seen that someone might not have seen is not easy.
