lksdjslkf AAARGGHHHHH.

Why the fuck is everything falling on my head this very week?

I could deal with just having a completed draft of my thesis due on Friday, that's fine, all good. Hell, it's almost done. Except my advisors send me emails on Saturday, asking me to make edits and read more books to answer questions on DO THE GUNDAM SUITS ATHRUN ( Read more... )

rage, college, stress

...My god. Shit Hits Fan week, eh? >_> I swear these are times you know that Life's out to GET US. Good luck with everything and hopefully all matters will smooth themselves out over the next few days x__X;

Your advisors ask dumb strange questions. A form of breasts... do they mean figuratively or what? Cuz Gundams have nothing that could possibly represent breasts. A penis, however.

Yeaaahh, it's one of those weeks. >: *snugs* Thanks, love. I hope you don't get one of these again too.

F-Figuratively, yes... literally would probably be a little too weird even for my advisors. YES, I should email them and say in bold, "IT IS A PHALLUS."

Hopefully not for another month or so XD Though I'm foreseeing some potential shitflying in the near future, judging by the 4 classes, 1 Special Design Problems class, internship applications, doujinshi and cosplay prep I've got this quarter. *shudder*

Yeah seriously. I mean, breasts? Please. Japanese men want boobs on chicks, not themselves. *snrk*

... why breasts, in particular?

meanwhile, have an excerpt from a review the economist's books and arts section:

"... Mr Carey restlessly tries to elicit from those he meets a clue to the elusive nature of Japaneseness. The giant robots, piloted by space cadets inside them: are they a symbol of the second world war, or an image of alienation, or do they correspond to Japan's army of “socially inept information junkies”? No, he is told, they are a marketing device to sell toy robots."

the book in question is called wrong about japan: a father's journey with his son.

i send love. hope the bureaucratic rubbish works out.

Because they're the symbols of femininity, I guess. >: LOOK BOOBIES, it must be a wo-man.

... I really should read the Economist more, shouldn't I?

♥ Thank yooou.

... do gundams have boobies? i don't seem to remember any. in any case, if they do they will be man-boobs, which are muscle, as opposed to female boobs which, as memorably described by poncy classmate, are 'useless fat'.

(this was during the asian art history lecture in which the professor pointed out that the full breasts on the durga sculptures are a symbol of aggressive femininity. i decided right away that it was men who thought of that, because everyone used to run around with no shirt on in those days and, you know, it would really hurt, doing Epic Battles while topless.)

Oh no, it's not that they have boobies, it's that they represent boobies. I... honestly think that's stretching it a little too far. :/ *snicker* Man-boobs is an idea though...

(Owwwww. ><)

Yes, the suits do, in fact, represent breasts. And the weapons represent huge throbbing spacecocks. So Gundams actually make them into hermaphrodites.

I mean. Duh.

Also, here is a ferret in a hat:
