Awww. I saw this post on the FB page. I cannot believe the stupid Hospital, OMG! I've never had children, but did they (hosp. staff) not notice that her cervix was dilated? Am I asking the right question LJ moms? I wonder who the dummy was who sent them home. I'm confused about them ending up in an airport parking lot though LOL.

The same thing almost happened to my sister, but she refused to leave until she was examined again. My niece was born about 1/2 hour later.

Wow. Good for your sister, that she put her foot down. People don't realize you know your own body. Come to think of it, same thing happened to my Mom when she was giving birth to me. The Doctor told her I was not ready to come out yet. Yeah right. All he did was leave the room for a few minutes and I popped out wailing my little head off. I sure showed him LOL.

I think sometimes it can dilate really fast. Especially if it's not your first kid. Almost as if your body "remembers" what to do from the last time.

This is first baby girl in the family.

I was going to ask him that, but figured he'd be too busy to reply. She'll have the most interesting "where I was born" story of all the kids in school! Hope Chris didn't have to deliver her, however.

Oops. I need to fix that sentence. "This is *the* first ...".

Aaron said his mom is thrilled about having her first grand daughter :)

I did not even notice the typo LOL. I bet his mom is thrilled. She is going to be one spoiled little girl by grandma!

I read it as "the first" anyway, so I'm not bothered if you don't fix it :)

My Mom was totally over the moon about her first granddaughter, too. Just like my Dad was all about his first grandson. Sometimes, I guess that's how it works.
