Looks like the rumours are true about The Bridge being cancelled. The article below says that CBS will be airing a repeat of Cold Case this Saturday.

What is WRONG with them? I mean, what can they tell in 3 episodes that they didn't know going into it? And why didn't they just let it run & see what happens...?? They never let shows develop an audience anymore.

I am so disappointed. I was really looking forward to seeing more episodes.

I have let CBS know about my disappointment as well. My feedback e-mail rambled more than I would currently like it to.

I tried to stick this behind a cut. Not quite sure what I did wrong.

Gleckia,

To "cut" a post, did you see those icons under the subject header? Put your mouse arrow over each one. It tells you what they are. The one that says "Live Journal Cut" is the one you want. What you do is highlight what you want as part of the cut then click the live journal cut button and that's it!

I don't think there is such a thing as putting a comment under a LJ cut. Technically all comments are under a cut anyway because someone has to click to read the comments from the front page.

You think they would cancel "Three and a Half Men" why would they keep a wife beating pig like Charlie Sheen on their payroll? Frakking CBS!

so, I hesitate to post here in this way, but... do you guys really think the show was all that good? I watched the premiere and the first show with my wife, and I thought the characters were fairly unlikable, the storylines were extremely convoluted (apparently due to weird editing), and the pacing was... leaden. There were times when I felt like maybe I'd fallen asleep and missed half the show (because I guess I was supposed to infer was was going on offscreen) and other times when I would look at the clock and be shocked that only fifteen minutes had passed. The premiere, particularly, felt endless.

I like the Chief, and I watched because it was him in the part. But the character of Frank was... not a particularly nice guy. He sleeps around, he makes deals with mob bosses, and we're supposed to trust him to take down cop corruption at the highest level?

In the end, this show made me "meh". I was working hard to find enthusiasm to watch it this weekend.

I think I have to agree. Aaron was great, and I think he did the best job he could under the circumstances. I also think the concept behind the show was a good one, but it ended up being executed poorly, IMO. Specifically the writing and the direction left me a bit underwhelmed.

Admittedly, very few shows are going to have the quality level that BSG did, but I personally think AD is worthy of a far better vehicle than this one was to showcase his talents.

I really wanted to like the show. But it's a two way street, and it was just so chaotic.

I really kind of liked the questionable ethics within the show. It is sort of a metaphor for absolute power corrupting absolutely.

The writing was weaker than I would like, but I thought it was more interesting than most of the cop dramas out there.
