It sounds like you're not that happy on Minato and would be happier on a lower-tier FC or an OC. (Is the OC app process on Persona actually that bad? I've gotten bounced there mildly more often but it's like, one revision. Or is this the infinite cosmic agony caused when you have to WAIT FOR AN APPLICATION REPLY?)

Actually, that infinite cosmic agony is pretty much alleviated by the fact that Liz did the reply, so it was pretty swift. It's more that the trend appears to be that they expect every character to fit an Arcana perfectly (or so I've heard).

Mostly, for me, I had written my app a certain way, and with the revisions I will have to do to make it fly (largely related to arcana problems), I'll have to cut it apart and completely mangle the style I'd originally put it in. It's extremely disheartening.

I've never really ran into the 'fit Arcana perfectly' thing. You need to make a solid case for the arcana of course.

Which is part of why I am considering making my current app under construction claim directly that her Persona came from a vegan diet.

While I do like your Minato and would be sad to see you drop him, your ability to enjoy the character and the game takes priority over that, especially if you feel like doing stuff with him is an unenjoyable chore. I know you've been struggling with this for a while, and I had a feeling it'd only get worse after the Kazuo thing... We do have a Mitsuru now, and Shinjiro's a SEES fachead too, so I think as long as I suppose you resolve whatever personal plotthreads you have going on, whether via actual scenes or hashing it out with the players, you don't need to feel like you're obliged to stay.

As for that OC app you were working on, if you like, I can help you with it! I was the one who processed it, after all.
