My eighth grade students broke the news to me this morning; barely keeping it together at work.
Didn't realise how much he symbolised.

The tributes I've read have been amazing. They didn't lessen the despondency, though.

My colleague (also an English teacher) and I decided we should pay tribute by going home and reading as much HBP as possible. Which is exactly what we did.
