Dont say "Bubbly"

I hate the new Pepsi ad. And so do other right thinking people.

But sadly, they have plastered it so much all over TV, that it just keeps bouncing around in my head for an hour as soon I hear "bubbly". I hate Pepsi.

Aamir's Coke ad is so much nicer.

Speaking of nice ads, here is The Slickest Ad Ever.

I agree...the Bubbly ad falls in a series of diasastrous ad campaigns that pepsi has lately tried. The "Khufiya" (I have no idea why the creative consultant thought that a good word play...it made me puke) was bad enough but the bubbly one is particularly grotesque.

As for the coke ad, it seems to be good only in comparision. It was fun when Aamir crossdressed in that horrible song but I see no need for him to be doing it in the ad...it kinda irritates after some time.

The khufiya is just boggling to me - I wonder if anyone at Pepsi finds out about the sort of associations they are developing. It almost seems like it has been left completely to the ad agencies.

Hmmm I thought, the association with the swear word "chutiya" was obvious and they were planning to sell it on that 'pun'...argghhh!

So the ad agency might have thought it fun to label something in a Pepsi drinking experience as "chutiya" (maybe for some "fun" element) but how could Pepsi agree to that? Is the winner of that contest the "sabse bada khufiya"? Or is this some inside joke by Pepsi execs at the expense of the buyers ... "look at those khufiyas paying Rs 43 for water, sugar, CO2 and pesticides"... The costliest ingredient seems to be the pesticide there.
