From Personal experience: The love never goes away, but the hurt eventually does, Hang in there.

Regev-

Were there anything I could say to take away your pain, I would say it. Were there anything I could do to change this horrid reality for you, I would do it.

We both know there isn't. I grieve for you and your loss and I pray that there is some solace in knowing you don't grieve alone. I understand what praying for Carl during Yizkor must have felt like. I understand why our community wears torn clothing while sitting shiva. I understand how it tears at your heart the first, the second, the 100th time you chant Kaddish.

And yet I now have come to understand how chanting Kaddish and lighting yahrzeit does, in time, bring comfort.

I'm glad to see you posting on this here and hope that you are talking. Someone very wise once said to me, "Share your joy and it is multiplied; share your pain, and it's divided." Those words I took especially to heart when his time came. I found it particularly helpful advice.

I wish I could hug the stuffing out of you right now. And what tbrough said is true. (As one does know from personal experience.)
