So with everything going on, I've not felt anywhere near "amorous". I admit it - getting it on's obviously been the last thing on my mind. So of course it just makes sense that when I really DON'T want physical intimacy, suddenly people I've talked to over the last five years are suddenly coming out of the woodwork wanting to hook up

I'm charitable, so I think guy #1's seeming curtness may be a combination of mortifying embarrassment and having no idea what to say in response. He could well be a dick - but that could also be the sound of somebody wanting to hide under a rock...

I agree 100%. It gets sticky when we assume people will behave the way we want or expect them to.
