Five Years In Peoria

So it's certainly belated, but Carl and I have lived in Peoria for five years now. It, in some ways, doesn't feel like it's been all that long -- after all, it seems like just yesterday when, for example, Carl and I were pissed because someone was still living in our apartment., but now this is my fifth Halowe'en living in this same apartment

I lived in the suburbs of Chicago (which meant that Chicago was never further than an hour away by train). I intend on going back ... eventually ...

And, shocking! - there is an El Paso IL.

It's closer to three, actually. And since I don't drive, the bus ride is about four...

There are tons of fun "I didn't know they existed" towns in Illinois; Cazenovia, Havana, Paris, El Paso, Palestine ...
