After Yom Kippur, I visited my sister's house. Her fiance is currently moving as the house is being sold (the house, after all, wasn't under name, but under my sister and her EX-boyfriend's), and told me: look, you need to look through your sister's shit, and see what you want ( Read more... )

Look up a few of them on Ebay. I'm sure there are buyers out there.

Short sweet answer:
HELL YES PEOPLE WILL PAY FOR THINGS LIKE THAT.

Collectors are a weird bunch, and have deep pockets.

If the pictures are any indication of the state of the boxed items... you may have a small goldmine of collectibles.

Do a bit of investigation before casually tossing them on eBay or the like.

Still in the boxes? Might be worth something indeed. Don't toss 'em, or let them get tossed. The eBay suggestion is a good one. Seems like there might be better places to check, though...

If you e-bay 'em, tell your family and her fiance what you're doing and offer to split the proceeds with them. They're probably worth quite a bit all together.

Hehehe, I already told my brother, my sister's fiance, and my mom what's going on, and my brother brought a box over to my mom's to take a look at, and I'd most certainly want them all to get something out of this too (especially if the dolls are worth that much!!)/

Ebay is a good idea, however I may also suggest selling them at a convention. You would be amazed on how people at comic book and toy conventions will go ga ga for this shit.

I once sold a bunch of my shit, mostly Star Wars action figures out of the box and played with well...plus a talking Mork doll, and I got over $9000 for the lot from a comic book and old toy shop.

Do your research. There are guides out there and you can also find good appraisers out there for this shit...but it looks like you have a massive fortune on your hands with these.
