I'm so sorry to hear all that. I can't imagine what drastic changes it must make to your life, but I am sure you can overcome them. Have you tried swimming instead of walking? It would probably be gentler on your neck.

I realize it was a shock to hear about the diabetes, but if anyone can handle this you can. I have complete faith in you. And sympathy for the no-drinking thing. :(
Growing old is not for sissies. Things fall off, parts wear out, warranties expire and we keep limping down the road of life on our rims, putting out a cloud of black smoke behind us. What else can we do?
Sing it, sister! We need to hold onto our parts! You know what that cloud of smoke really is, though, don't you? *g*
