Felix isn't very good at long-range fighting, so while other people have been shooting at Deathclaws he's been taking a careful look around.

And it seems he's found something.

"This might be it," he calls. "It's a hole leading down, and I think I see a ladder."

"Oh, fantastic," says Ellen, tromping over to have a look. One armored hand touches the side of her helmet, switching on the lamp; she peers down into the hole.

"You know, it might just be me, but I think I see human footprints on the rungs of the ladder. Somebody else's been here very recently."

Once he's at the bottom of the ladder, of course he's going to disappear and melt away from sight.

It smells down here. It smells awful. It's dank and the air is still and something brought its food down here to die several dozen times over. Just. Vile.

Oh, and somebody set up lights, too. And generators, even...
