I still boggle at the idea of "reclaiming" a word that once was exclusively for female dogs used for hunting and breeding, and no doubt sstarted to be applied to women to compare them to such.

You bring up a good comment. The thing I always couldn't stand is when strong women are considered bitches. Why? Is it because they aren't afraid to speak their minds, etc? This just grate my nerves like you wouldn't believe.
