I think people need to shut their mouths and think before they speak. More often than not, such a phrase is incredibly uncalled for.

Something one turns to in order to have fun or something (such as Fandom), should not just push further triggers. Least others could be/do is be respectful and considerate of their fellow fans - or, better yet, fellow human being.

Gosh I really hope no one ever said that to you.

I got triggered recently too. Basically took me out of commission for a day and nobody could understand why I was so upset. It's as easy as reading Wikipedia; I am so fucking sick of trying to explain this to people.
