Mosque to be built on Ground Zero.I hesitantly approve. I love the symbolism here. And it's one way that New Yorkers and USAmericans on a non governmental level to show that at least some of us are trying to build bridges. I want something to be built there, but I'd prefer if it didn't have any religious affiliations.

I'm not a New Yorker but I live ten minutes away when there's good traffic. I pass by Ground Zero all the time. It's painful to see it empty still.

I don't know. Every time someone plans to build something there it falls through because no one wants to spend the money.

Ive thought about writing to Obama about it a few times but he gets like thousands of letters a day. I still really wish we could build something there but I do not want it to be a religious building of any kind.

I have mixed feelings, although I'm in touch with my own internal bullshit enough to know it might be because of that.

Yeah, I can get that. I guess I just want it to stop being empty the most.
