Chris Brown is an R&B/pop singer that was quite popular for a while. Appeared to be a "nice guy" and an excellent dancer. Last year, though, somehow it was made known (I can't remember how) that he physically abused his girlfriend (I'm not sure if they're still together), Rihanna. This obviously turned a lot of fans of his against him and kept new potential fans away.

The generally tendency for so many women to think violent = alpha male, combined with "my love can change him", makes me worry. A lot.
