this is why my sleeping is off

Last night until five in the morning, I read up on this site about the occult and the Illuminati.

My favorite was Occult and Prophetic Messages in Rihanna’s Umbrella

It probably would have been the Yuugiou one but it focused on the movie, which I've never watched.

pop culture, lol

Wow, that's a hell of an elaborate joke. ...Right?

I think he's serious.

I can get behind the fact that a few elite are running the world (er they kinda are) but he hasn't sold me on the black magic.

Especially black magic that mostly targets major cinematic releases, pop songs, and the occasional cartoon. I guess the magicians want to go the long way round with their brainwashing!

Okay you need to read this one for the lulz.

On the bright side I have ideas for stories thanks to this.

What’s up with the Ella Ella eh’s? It sounds catchy doesn’t it? The repetitive and hypnotic rhythm of this chant makes it very reminiscent of magical spells, conjurations or summons.

I SEE THE TRUTH! IT IS NOT SIMPLE RHYTHMIC AESTHETICS, IT IS ACTUALLY A CULT TO BRAINWASH US ALL USING BLACK MAGIC AND EVIL GIRLY WITCHCRAFT!

Soon Lady Gaga will control the world with her Ra-ra-ah-ah-ah's and her Roma-roma-ma's!

I didn't even go far enough. NOT ONLY WILL SHE CONTROL THE WORLD WITH IT, IT'S AN INVOCATION OF RA AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.

I've not only watched the Yugioh movie (would not reccommend), I've also read a translation of the japanese novelization of the movie (would also not reccommend). I mention this because in the novelization, it goes on a weird tangent about women being the shamens that connect man to the gods, presumebly to justify a weird plot twist involving Anzu.

I mention this because the sheer overtness of that would have caused this guy's head to explode. Explode I say!

I am pretty convinced that everyone who worked on the YGO story didn't care much about Egyptian mythology. It was mostly put there for neato.

Even if you don't recommend it, where's this link to the translation of the novelization of the bastardization that is the movie? (I would have kept up the "-ations" but it was getting a little ridiculous, ya?)

I'm a bit of a masochist, so I'd like to give it a read.

And yeah, you're probably going to end up acting like your icon by the time you're through with it.

If this isn't a joke, they sure need a tinhat.

Where did the word tinhat come from?

It refers to tinfoil hats that conspiracy theorists would wear to block imaginary mind-control rays the government were using to control people. I don't know if that has any basis in historical fact, but that's where it comes from.

I've actually seen the movie, believe it or not! My family was going to the movies and I didn't care at all for the movie most of my family was going to see, so I went to the YGO movie with my little bro, because he wanted to see it.

It....wasn't good, but not quite as terrible as I was expecting. But, because the movie the rest of my family went to see was Open Water (ie two people bickering while bobbing in the water for an hour and half), I still apparently got the better deal.
