I miss loving Naruto. :(

But, I'm glad your dad's getting out of the hospital soon! Yay!

My brother is taking Mom and me out to dinner tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm glad your dad is getting out of the hospital soon. My prayers are with him.

Probably the fanciest place he can afford. Which, won't be all that fancy but still. It's the first time in a long time we can actually do something for Thanksgiving. It's not really a holiday my Mom and I celebrate much but my brother's been in America since he was about 6 so he really likes to do something nice for it.

For the misogyny - apparently he wised up a little. Here's an article that explores it some.

For his antisemitism it was him basically going on about how Jews were exploiting black folk in the ghettos by pointing out how they owned the businesses there. I'll freely admit that I don't know all the facts in this particular instance, but I do think it follows the myth of Jewish power (in them having omg so much power), he makes a mistake to make Jews a monolithic group of people who do and think one thing, and complains about how Jews are too sensitive about antisemitism. To his credit, he did say that he understood hypersensitivity considering the Holocaust.

Er, not that I would personally term it hypersensitivity in the least.

To go into his misogyny in depth: he doesn't trust woman, thinks a good portion of them can't be trusted, is blind to the part men have played in the prostitution he describes, and basically plays into to trope that WOMEN ARE DARK CREATURES WHO LURE MEN INTO DOING BAD STUFF WITH THEIR VAGINA.

Basically, though, I think you'd have to read the book in full to grasp the misogyny he had internalized, but also the pride he has in black women and he believes they should be respected.
