As for your questions...I was actually hoping no one would ask about Xena and Hercules because I've been having a horrible time deciding if they count XDD They obviously take place in a historical time period, but their "history" is so...well, not historical lol. I guess I'm going to say yes, but with the caveat that it would be preferable if you focused on episodes/themes that were more historical and less magic-based (i.e. Xena participating in the Miss Known World pageant would be a good one to avoid XD)
Historical Disney movies definitely count. Movies like Mulan and Brave are the easiest, of course, but I think you could make a case for Beauty and the Beast. Belle's experience as a learned woman in a tiny 18th century French village could be fascinating!

Oh man, I'm sooooo sorry if it seemed like I was ignoring you! I feel awful :( But apparently LJ decided not to deliver your messages. I just double-checked and nada. Silly journal. MC actually just pointed about I haven't updated my personal LJ in a year and eight months, so I should probably do that in case anyone else thinks something happened XD But yes, RL *has* been rough in general. I knew being a mom was going to be tough, but I had no idea how bloody hard it actually was. I haven't slept a full night in almost 15 months, and that takes a toll. But it'll get better! I'm sorry to hear work has been rough your you as well. *hugs* I hope it improves
