It's late.. Thanks for verbalizing several things I was feeling, most especially I have been feeling defensive because I do like Obama. I agree, and think he loves america (not that the others don't) but that I also agree with many of his idea on how to try and make things better. It won't be better for everyone, as someone commented on a previous post regarding small business. But I don't have much, but belive it would be worth giving up more if in excange good education and health care was extended to those who don't have it now.
As for Socialism, Bush's white house just took over some of the largest finiancial institutions in America.

What's funny, is that my parents (again, small business owners) are LESS concerned about Obama than t hey are McCain, because in the LONG run they think that Obama's plans will be better for *everyone*.

Now, my parents are old time conservatives who vote for small taxes and their guns (well Dad's guns, I can't picture my mother holding one)...

They're BOTH voting for Obama.

But yeah.. I get tired of the implication that I'm just voting against McCain, or that I should vote for a 3rd party.. No, really, I want to vote for Obama, I actually think he's better for this country than McCain. (We'll ignore the VP issues).

but yeah. :)
