When I watch ER these days, I keep reminding myself that it must be Maura who wanted Abby's relapse storyline and that she wanted the challenge.

I don't think the general idea of Abby relapsing is a bad one... they just did it the wrong way. I don't like the whole 'I'm a weak weak woman, can't function without my man' reason for it.
