I KNOW (seen it now) It makes him look so much more mature (and he's learnt to shave couldn't take my eyes of him watching the whole episode! too beautiful for words.
Mmm...lovely. Just makes you want to stroke his jaw, no? ;-)
There was a joke going around after the opening of S4 last year: "Did you hear about our Merlin? He's a young man now." (In Mrs. Leary's accent of course) and I really can't help but think of that now *smiles* There isn't a trace of "boy" left in the man anymore.
hmmm - stroke the jaw and then go for the hair! and no, no trace of boy anymore, but he looks like he needs a good hug, as he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders.
Yay for growth:D I was too excited the first time I watched and too distracted the second time to notice much detail. I think I need to watch two more times.
Awww... he looks so cold! Come here, Merlin dear; Kat, Issy, and I will keep you nice and warm (*way* better than Arthur and that nasty metal armor...).
"How about threatening an arse!?"
STILL my favorite line in this episode! Love me some snarky Merlin...
My fav line too!! Love it when he's snarky! We are so much warmer and cuddlier than Arthur (not to mention more people = more body warmth!) Read Alison whatits article? I would LOVE to see him in a Terry Pratchet tele-series or movie!

Also I loved the episode. The part where Merlin and Arthur are trying to get his sword and drop it had me laughing so hard.

Me too! Poor Merlin. There could only have been one place he didn't want Arthur's knee to be, but he got it anyway!
But I was angry with Merlin for not using his magic there to snap the rope! *headdesk* Oh yeah, he couldn't because the plot bunnies said so!

"Where did the other rabbit go?"
I also liked when they dropped the sword and Merlin was screaming "That was your fault! That was your fault!"
