It's mild out and the trees and flowers have begun blooming. It's really very pretty... I think it would be a shame to let such an opportunity pass by.

Would anyone care to go hiking?

It's nice to see I'm not the only one who enjoys being outdoors.

I think there may be a few others coming along, so I'd like to wait for them before we leave.

I think it would only be particularly dangerous if someone went hiking alone. In a group it should be fine.

Most animals are afraid of people, and if there were a group of them, I don't think many animals would be foolish enough to try anything. Also, if there was some sort of trouble, someone could go back for help. So you see, there's safety in numbers.

Besides, I carry knives on me at all times just in case.

I see. I haven't been here for very long myself, so I'm still adjusting to it all. It's a little difficult at first.

So, if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask. I'll do what I can, although I can't guarantee anything. Most of the people here probably feel the same way. They've been quite helpful so far, and seem willing to lend a hand, especially to newcomers.
