Microsleep - this is from Wikipedia:

That's interesting. First time I've heard of it. I space out every so often too. I also have moments where I look at the clock and I see an hour has passed, but last time I looked at it, it only felt like a few minutes passed. I wonder what the difference between simply "spacing out" and a microsleep is. Sounds almost like blackouts or something. Regardless it's probably very dangerous especially if you're driving.
