ETA: It seems like this post made its way far outside the Arashi/JE fandom. If you decide to comment on here, please be mindful of where you are

Hah! I had renewed my paid account not long before the new TOS appeared, and when that happened, LJ gave all paid accounts an extra 6 months (guess they did figure out people would be running far far away from the site). I now have a paid account until August 2018 and no desire to use it at all...
Hi, i had the same probleme with Lj they have suspended me the reason because of spam if they would follow me on fb they would know what spam is :D, i write the support on lj and they activated my account again. I have to admit that they have responded very quickly after I had written to them an email why I was suspended. Lucky i have not even know that i have already an account on DW, i have to forget it already :) oh after i transfered some files from lj to dw i got susbended. Shit just as I have already understood something, I must now also deal with DW I am too old for a new one both pages are complicated.
if they would follow me on fb they would know what spam is
"spam" does not mean "posting a lot," but "posting links to dangerous sites." If you got suspended on DW, too, maybe you really had somewhere in your journal a link leading to a website that had a virus. (You can easily contact DW support and clear it up.)
on dw im not suspended, i was on lj but i post not any dangerous links not that i know it or do you mean the homepage from Johnny's and j-storm are dangerous :D and it has also cleared everything as I said the support of lj is fast.
Do you mean links on a LJ entry to its mirrored version on DW? Those are still external links, and as far as we know at the moment, could still get your account deleted.
Yeah thanks for the quick reply ... yeah that was what I meant ..
By the way ... so sorry ... if this comm is over on DW by the way may I join ... (I can't believe I haven't joined before this - I fail as a fan ahahaha. Children and a hubby can distract one from fandom sometimes) ...
And also is there a link where I might be able to find out more about this ... and let other people know?
Because this seems to have snuck up on us and I only found out about it this morning and if they are deleting posts/journals with even mirrors on DW I think my friends will need to know -
May I boost this?fiorenza_aMay 29 2017, 12:04:35 UTC
I'm not part of your comm, but an Lj friend linked to this and I think my fandom comms should be aware. I regularly link off site in my own journal, so I'm presuming whatever 'bot crawler' they're using would pick up my journal eventually.
People regularly link off-site when posting to the fandom comms too, to various other media and fan resources.
I can't tell if this is a bot gone rogue (I'm aware they've had problems in the past, deleting abuse survivor community journals when looking for 'explicit content' for example) - or whether they have changed the T&C and are about to publish a 'white-list' like FanFiction.net.
FF's white-list is horrendously restrictive - it would be a real blow if Lj go down that route.

Feel free to link this entry anywhere and to whoever you wish :)
People who contacted LJ support after getting their accounts suspended either had it reinstated after a while with just a vague "we thought you were a bot" reply or didn't get any reply at all and their account remains lost. So far it seems to be random who manages to regain their account and who doesn't.
I'm not in your fandom, but got linked here through a comm I lurk on. If it's fine with you, I'd like to link this to my own comms. Everyone needs to know what's going on in case it happens to them.
