Unfortunately, my French is so poor. I could hardly understand what they (especially my favourite Polanski) are talking about Anyway, it's very interesting video!
I believe however that all that is decent and important is coming to a halt in France. I don't know how, but this afternoon or evening, it needs to be announced in the news sources which remain, as the newspapers no longer going out, but at least the radios must announce, that the Cannes festival has been stopped. If we don't announce this, it needs to be transformed considerably, so that the information is perfectly clear, because seen from outside, the Cannes festival is... well, you know quite well what it is : it's the reception held this evening by Mr. Barclay - and it is this that people need to understand has been put a stop to. Now how it should take place needs to be explored, but in my view this takes place outside these premises...
POLANSKI:
Mr. Chanon (??), he should be summoning us all in the jury hall any time now..
GODARD (off):
Well, they can congregate at someplace other than next to the Begum. They could come and congregate here
