I just have to say, I completely get everything you're saying-- people just need to back off sometimes. And I find it irritating that people just assume everyone will have children. I have a relative who never had any kids and I've heard my mum comment on it a few times (not to said relative's face though), seeming to imply how odd it is she never had any (and yet now that I think about it, we have plenty of male relatives who never had kids or a family, and they don't get bothered about it). Hmm.
