Japanese/Spanish language barrier

My location is very nice but I have overestimated my Spanish abilities. When I come for work a translator has always been provided. I have only now discovered a phone number where the government provides a free translating service for tourists. The staff here are -as always- very helpful.

We were in the same dorm building and class all three years. Aside from that we rarely had overlapping activities/interests. I knew people in his group of friends.

We shared the dorm and class for three years -- there were naturally circumstances where we needed to interact. A mutual enthusiastic friend organized many events for the group. We kept in touch after high school.

Perhaps you should ask him.
