Yes it was one of the recalled batch.

I'm calling the number tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with Honeywell. I had to do some researching to find the right number because the one that was provided... 7 years ago is no longer in service. but I called them and talked to a ( Read more... )

You should still never leave one of the these heaters unattended or even plugged in when not in use. Anything with a heating element should always be unplugged when not in use. These types of items are the biggest cause for house fires. As you know, I am married to Fire Marshall Bill's son - this info has come straight from the horses mouth. Apparently these heaters & toaster ovens are the two biggest causes. This would also include coffee makers and regular toasters.
