No geocaching rules?

The first one I thought of was
"The shortest way is not the best way"
But then I realized that sometimes it is so I thought of
"The shortest way is rarely the best way"
But then I realized that only applies to non-drive-by geocaches, most of time for a LPC the shortest way is the best way.

So for me the geocaching rule is
"Always leave the geocache at least as good as you found it"
