Caching Crap...

To tell you the truth, I don't give 2 cents about "Terra"Caching.  I have nothing against it.  To me it's just another flavor of caching.  I give AB4N a ration of crap about it when I see him, but it's all good natured ribbing.  I had the opportunity to join TC last year.  Kenneth invited me.  I thought it was quite nice of him.  But i declined the ( Read more... )

it's caching, but with the different preface of "terra" instead of "geo". see http://terracaching.com for more info.

Primary difference is that it has a rating/scoring system for both the caches and cachers; "better quality caches" get higher scores, as do the cachers who hunt them. Lame lamppost micro score = 0. Multistage scenic ammocan in the mountains = 100. Hunt one of each, your individual "rating" would be 50. Those two caches together would rate a 30 - see next.

The scoring/rating system is actually much more complicated than that, but that should give you a gist. It was set up by an ex-"geo"caching guy who built the rating system.

Otherwise, it's just hunting caches.
