Glitch was in his office and the door was open as he scribbled notes about how to grade the final projects for class.

A few synapses snapped that he probably should've started this sooner, but he hadn't expected it to be difficult. At least not this difficult

Of course, like clockwork itself, he had a visitor. It said something of the familiarity of the whole thing that Liir mostly knocked as a warning before just coming in.

"Morning."

...ooh, he'd brought tea and scones.

"Morning."

He seemed a little distracted by the papers but, wait...

Glitch looked up and, ooh, tea and scones!

Liir put out the cups, the plates, and started pulling the fixings from his bag.

"I thought breakfast might be nice," he said with a faint smile as he sat down not far from the professor.

"Working on things for next week?"

"Thank you," he said, clearing a bit of space on his desk. It meant moving a lot of paper, but they'd need to be moved eventually.

He kept the paper he had been working on, though, at the top of the pile.

"And yes. A little. Well, mostly."
