So, after a few days dealing with boring legal procedures, processing, questioning, all that good stuff... here's Eddie, back in a cell at Arkham. Back to the fancy orange pajamas. Back to refusing medication. Back to being highly concerned with the food schedule ( Read more... )

Tap tap tap. Tap tap tap. Jervis tappity tap taps at the glass wall of his own cell. Vying for the attention of his new neighbor across the hall.

"Hello hello hello. Who are you then? Hmm? Speak up! Speak up!"
The funny looking man sits on his knees, leaning against the glass wall. He's a bit of a mess and his face shows the signs of a fading black eye.

The lack of privacy, on the other hand, while not immediately troublesome, is going to get old real fast. He's not modest, but god damn it, there's a difference between a cell and a fish tank. He will stew on that one. It'll become an issue once food and pills are boring to bicker about.

This guy, across the way, needs to take much better care of himself and the cell, if he's going to have to stare at it all the time. He's been avoiding doing that, for about that reason.

"Who do you think I am?" he asks, cheerfully enough, without really looking up from where he was sitting.

"Don't be silly."

Jervis' room is forever full of little tea sets, dolls, and hats made of whatever trash he can get his hands on. The orderlies clean the mess away only to have him start again. It's a losing battle.

"What I think will never do.
I know you're mad, and I am too."

This is an excellent way to make a bad first impression. Luckily, sometimes that doesn't make much of a difference.

"Am I, now?" he asks. Second question. He does look up, and quirks a brow. He doesn't look annoyed. Probably, he looks amused, but that's on default, since his thoughts are mostly on plotting escape and when meatloaf's being served. And then there's the mess. And this guy calling him crazy. And escape.

Simon didn't injure anyone in getting him to his new cell, and as a reward, he is out of the straitjacket. It's very nice to be able to spread his arms again, and to have the use of his hands all the time. So he has an excuse for the incessant tapping on every single thing in his new cell. Racktacktacktack. Racktacktacktack.

Eddie goes over to the wall of his cell, where the tapping is coming from, and taps back, on the little window. No angry shouting, or any such thing. No harm in a little noise.

Rackatack. Simon was wandering, pacing and tapping, and now he wanders over. Nuts, only another human, and it makes him frown slightly. "Hello."

Eddie smiles back, despite frowning neighbor, and leans his arm up along the bottom edge of the window. "Hello. These cells are new to you, too, hm? Discover anything noteworthy?"
