The cookies that Peter has brought didn't set off the metal detector, and he, amiably, gave one to the guy who checked him in. He won't tell Eddie that, and there are plenty, a whole cake-box full. Chocolate chip and peanut butter and orange-with-frosting. They smell great.

Eddie walks up to the glass, and has a seat on the floor. He has no issues with that. He knows it's clean. However, "Why don't we get a visitation room?" he asks the orderly, trying very hard to keep his tone polite and not argumentative. "Everyone in the hall can hear what we're saying. Heh."

She gives him a neutral shrug. "Something about security. Sorry, not up to us."

He lifts both his eyebrows, but refrains from rolling his eyes, or any such thing. "All right," he says, instead. "Thank you."

Then he smiles at Peter. It's only a little bit of a smirk. "~So~, how the heck are you, then?"

Peter puts the cookie box in the drawer to pass it through. "Pretty good. Back in school, made varsity again... Might have a job. These are for you."
