My day off. Lovely.

Lovely to get a sleep in once in a while. Major points since I last wrote anything decent:

My new job: I'm the Functions Coordinator for Heritage Catering at the Queensland Museum site. I spend Wednesdays and Fridays in the office and Saturdays assisting in the cafe. Best job I've had so far I think. Boss even wanted me to work today but I refused. ( Read more... )

Awesome. I knew you'd find a job somewhere! Can I ask how you got it? :P Maybe you've mentioned it elsewhere but my memory's shitty and I realise now that I don't read blogs as often as I used to! Sigh. Uni's back and I need to learn how to use my time better :P

There's going to be Picasso?! Woah. I went to the Andy Warhol exhibition. Was relieved that I could still use my old ID card -- heh, in between uni and high school was this big gap where we had to pay adult fares for EVERYTHING (lol, I know, 'adults' [I still don't see myself as 'adult', whatever the Family Law Act/Age of Majority Act says!] out there are probably like "hah, bitch bitch, whinge whinge, big deal!" but it's a lot for jobless people with hardly any time for work!) -- and hence got in for $10 instead of $20. Phew.

Have fun tomorrow!

I got it by applying to a generic opening by Heritage Catering on Seek.com.au. Then the manager just thought I'd be better off working for him in the office than just the cafe. So lucky, really.

Meh, I don't have a clue what anyone's up to really, despite spending too much time on LJ.

Picasso will be at GoMA from June 6 or 9. You got in for $10?? I thought the student price was $16. Nice!

Ah crap, you replied before I fixed something up -- lol, now this isn't awkward... heh.

Eh, someone somewhere or other said the harder you work, the more luck you come across. Good onya!

- Yeah, $10. xD.

Anyhoo. Midnight approaches and I still haven't finished studying chem (er, busy all weekend and... procrastination... and ... I hadn't done it in Senior so I'm kind of teaching myself everything). I guess that means I better go! Adios!

Oh yah I meant to slip in there something about the Andy Warhol exhibition being pretty cool (I got lost in all the parentheses). I'm relatively uneducated about art -- I wish I'd studied it in high school, but my subjects wouldn't've worked out otherwise -- so it was interesting. A lot of people liked the whole photo-thingie, which was sad, but kind of... went with the whole mass-production of 'art' thing. Or something. Hrmm... you've got til the end of March, apparently!
