Napa!

I'm using my Kitchen Confidential icon with Bradley Cooper and Michael Vartan to kick off my post about my trip to Napa last weekend. Love those two!

So angel_q and I spent the weekend in Napa. I ended up buying a bunch of Le Creuset pots at the outlet store before actually getting to Napa which seemed to kick the weekend off just right

I loved that show too! I wish FOX would have actually given it a chance. They ran it into the ground.

I didn't go to Chateau Montelena this time, but a couple of years ago I went there on a whim because I looked up several places online. Then the movie came out about their wine and I was so happy that I had been there because I could tell when they were actually filming on location. They're more famous now for their reds than the one white that won the competition and I'm not a fan of reds so I didn't go back. Their vineyard is gorgeous though. Well worth the trip!

I am so in love with Le Creuset! They just opened an outlet store in Camarillo! How did you get those home? lol

I was just about to email you and ask how the class was! One of these days, I want to go with you!

I love it too! It's so expensive and I've always hesitated to get it, but the sale they were having was so great! I had to do some creative packing because I only brought one small over the shoulder bag with me. It worked though! I only had to carry one thing separately.

They have a cake decorating class that Angelique doesn't want to take so we should totally do that one together. It was so much fun!

What color did you get? My mom has the big lime green dutch oven and my sister and I bought the grill pan for her as a birthday present when we were at the outlets in Palm Springs.

As soon as I start getting regular paychecks, we should go!

I wanted to get yellow but they were having a better sale on the orangish color that they call "flame" so I got that instead. I ended up getting a 4.5 qt french oven pot because I have so many recipes that call for you to start the dish on the stove and then transfer it to the oven. I didn't have anything that I could do that with so I'm very excited to try some new things! I did get one small yellow casserole dish that is in the shape of a pepper though. Then I got four mini-pots that are perfect for individual desserts.

Let me know when you are ready and we can plan to go up there. Woo!
