Going to the Old Spaghetti Factory, then to the Guthrie to see Merchant of Venice.  Wish me luck!

Left home about 5:00 pm, to meet  Dave at 5:30. Were a little late, because although the directions were perfect, I am always reluctant to take the first parking option.  But $8.00 for Event Parking seemed like the best deal, situated between the ( Read more... )

I'm taking my dad (for his 60th) to see "King Lear" this fall with the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Guthrie... I'm so excited!

Enjoy!

Thank you. Was anxious about driving in Minneapolis, and being alone with a boy and my mom, but it went well!

Thank you! I did. I was almost as nervous as when I went to see 300 with you! Weird being between my mom and a boy I liked. They got along fine, and she said, "He gets you. That's gotta be difficult to find."

Not sure how to take that.

Seems like a vieled complement of sorts...but a complement nonetheless! Glad to hear you had fun!

Loved it. Costumes to drool over, actors were so good (I only noticed one slip up, but it was covered quickly) and made you think about prejudice and justice and revenge--still relevant topics.

The scene changes were so swiftly and subtly done, I was impressed with that too.

I am so tempted to go weekly and do the last minute $15.00 ticket thing. We sat right behind the wheelchairs and it was perfect seating!

I made it through without too much anxiety! Had much fun. Laughing, good food and a little wine make everything better, no?
