OK, so i was at the promenade earlier, and out of sheer boredom i decided to stop and listen to some of the religious nutjobs that were preaching against evolution. Like many of their kind, they basically wanted to poke holes in the theory and claim that it's false. Nononono, there is a HUGE difference between people who believe in religion, and people who believe blindly in religion. These were the kind that had the pictures of aborted babies, and Darwin on an ape body. I know a lot of Christians that are amazing, Kellsie's parents for example, i love them. But i also know the kind that just refuse to believe in logic, and use the bible to demonize anything that they are not comfortable with.

Besides, you know that i think very highly of you. And i know you are Christian.

i never understood why the abrahamic religious think that there is this "war" between science and faith. these are two completely different studies that can easily coexist. science is man's explanation for the world around him and religion is god's. they don't always match up because man is supposedly fallible or something. another way to put it is, evolution exists because god set it in motion, along with all the other contradictions and mysteries.

i wish churches would stop being so literal and focus on important issues like social justice and universal love.
