I managed to get Chapter 1 out but I will need to work on the plot some more before I can proceed with future chapters.

Jun's rank is Sergeant.

Having joined homicide, he's now taken on Detective duties (making him a Detective Sergeant).

Of course, that's also a mouthful so he just goes by Detective for now (since that makes him sound so much awesome).

Oh, there is already chapter one! Good, that I re-read the prologue! XD Have you post it somewhere else? When not, I think you should, when you have a new chapter! :) I almost miss it! :P
I see some side pairing (Ohmiya), and there is Toma too! :D Jun is so cute as newbie! ♥

Thanks for the advice. I'm new at this (don't really post much) so haven't posted anywhere else but I will update links when I post a new chapter.

Toma seems so "up and at them!" that I couldn't resist having him as the detective that helps Jun make the transition from general police to homicide detective. There will probably be lots of cameos as I go along since it seems easier to just cast someone instead of making a new person (and name) from scratch.
