While I like Avatar, I've never been in the fandom at all. Though I can definitely say I find Zuko with Katara far less 'bleh' than Aang with her. All the characters are pretty great, but Aang is so childlike, it just wasn't nice (for me) to see him in a romantic aspect with *anyone*.

I hear you 100% on the Aang and Katara front. It's just gross to me. Less gross when they were older, but now that I'm rewatching the show with the kid I'm like, "This is sick, she's like his mom, and he is so cute and young and ugh."

Also when I look at Aang now I see my own kid and he's 4, so it's just yuck.
