Huh, Zutara would make me feel good, too, I think! I hadn't watched Korra since that disappointing 1st season, but I heard good things about the ending, so I'm going to have to catch up. I love old/shipping - or at least people closer to my age.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about Ammy and you are in no way stupid- grief has no timetable and dogs are just as much family members as any human. If I remember your writing about her, she was a huge personality, and I'm sure she's left just as huge a hole in your life. I was just remembering my Bob yesterday (not a dog, but thought he was one) and he's been gone for nearly 10 years. Take care of yourself.

Yah, I was super impressed with the fact that they Actually Went There for the Korra finale, and that the last two seasons were very good, but I just don't have time to mainline them, boohoo.

And yeah, Ammy was my security blanket. Probably should have picked a security blanket that couldn't die of cancer. T_T

Fanfiction is like candy. It's easy to get and eat and it tastes good right away...none of the effort or clean-up of a full meal that you make yourself. It really is the most fun, and it's relaxing. I don't write anything for anyone else but I love writing fan fiction for my own amusement.

HAVING to write probably makes it impossible to do so, sometimes. Have you tried short stories? They might be easier to get through. (I really don't know. I've only ever written one, and I only got it done because it was a writer's prompt, which sort of put me at a distance from it. Which meant I managed to wrap it up quickly without getting stupidly over-involved with the characters and writing forever.) I'm sure a collection of your short stories would be fun. :)

BAH I HAVE NO IDEA! We got here in Oct, so I'm not sure where the sun shines the most around my house in the spring and summer, but I bought poppy and larkspur seeds which are supposed to be fool-proof in this climate (poppies grow wild here, omg) so we shall see. I'll have to set up a container veggie garden on my back porch because my backyard is so wooded it hardly gets any sun.

I really love the idea of elderly Zuko and Katara finding comfort in each other, and I always enjoyed the ship in Avatar too.
It's just that in the Korra-era it's obvious they'd still have such a deep connection.
