Yeah. A combination of school, lack of interesting personal life, and just plain laziness kind of took its toll on me posting pretty much anywhere. I rarely update my DA any more, and my FB is a long list of me liking and sharing a bunch of memes and cool pictures. I did manage to stay dedicated to FF.net these past few months though. Firefly/Riddick has been burning up my brain. And I love to go back a reread my fav stories, like yours :)

Riddick is the bomb, so I don't blame you.

I'm also glad you're writing career is going good.
Do you have any links to some of your works that I can window shop? :-)

Hey! Great seeing you! Many of us old timers are still here. :) I like LJ because I can actually write - instead of making tiny little blips on facebook. But that's just me. Hooray for your three year old - he sounds like a fabulous little guy (can spell his name already??? Wow!). Do you have photos posted anywhere? And I'd love to know more about your writing career! I probably need to go poking around in the corners myself to get caught up.

Yeah, and I think he taught himself how to spell his name, because I didn't make a point to do it and neither did his teachers. I'll post photos in another post. Maybe tomorrow if I get time. :)

(AM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU ARE STILL HERE)

It's good to see another old familiar face who's found her way back to LJ, if only to look out over the desolate landscape and wonder when and how the civilization collapsed. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been in the best of moods, but glad to hear that life's been treating you well. Now that you've become a writer of growing renown, you definitely have reason to be proud of yourself.

I'm really interested in giving Tales of Xillia a shot, but I fear it'll have to wait until after I've finished grad school and figured out what I'm going to do when I'm done deferring adulthood. The Tales games are immensely pleasurable timesinks for me - especially when I have other people to play with - and I don't need anything else to distract me from my final projects of the semester.

OH. MY. GOD. The tales games are literally the biggest timewaster in my life. I don't need WoW, I just need a bunch of anime characters, ten thousand fetch quests to finish and seven hundred skits to watch. Also fell arms. My fell arms cry out for blood. (Enjoying Xillia so far. It's more similar to Abyss than Vesperia/Symphonia story and characterwise, but I'm loving the battle system improvements.)

I also downloaded Tales of Graces. I have no idea what it's about and I don't care.

Tales of Graces has a much stronger emphasis on weapon and armor crafting and title collecting than the previous Tales games. It also has a radically different combat system - as far as I know, it's the first one to do away with TP and replace them with Action Points, which are consumed by taking any action other than blocking and refill when you defeat enemies, dodge their attacks, or meet certain other conditions. I enjoy it, but rock-dumb AI teammates do detract from the combat somewhat. Having a friend or three to call on would make at least one of the optional boss battles easier by orders upon orders of magnitude.

I won't say anything about the plot, but I don't think you'll be disappointed.

OMG I AM EXCITE. Xillia goes back to TP, but the level-up system is pretty damn cool, and you can link up with your teammates during combat and they'll do shit like heal you, guard you, or flank an enemy with you, and you can link your artes with theirs a la symphonia. I don't have any gamer friends nearby, though. T_T And at this point I don't care about plot, I just care about how funny the skits are. Xillia's getting there. Once I got the 65 year old man in my party things took off.

If you don't remember me that's okay, but I'm still here! This has mostly become a tweet dumping ground, but I pop in from time to time as well. Welcome back!

Uh, duh, I remember you. My son's preschool did a 'trip to China' for summer school and I told him aaaaall about the Lion Dancers and how I used to have a friend who did lion dancing and he freaking loved the lion dancers and wouldn't stop talking about them. He was not fond of the drumming, though. "Too loud."

Yay! Unfortunately the lion dancing has dropped out of my life ever since I graduated from undergrad, however I still get all fangirly when I see it in the street. One day I will sign up my future kids for lion dance classes and live vicariously through them! I'm glad your son loved the lion dancers!
