Surprise in the Hallway

So an interesting thing happened to me today. I'm walking down the hallway when Ms. Hogan stops me to talk about my LCC classes and how they are going and she mentions how it is good that i'm so far ahead because that will make it easier for fifth grade camp. Now, I'm confused, because I didn't sign up to be a fifth grade camp counselor this year,

Provided of course you do actually want to be a councilor this year. If you don't just tell the crazy art teacher and the inept councilor to "jog on."

I suppose if you don't particularly like the phrase "jog on" you could use a more American phrase, like "bite me" or "pththth!"

Really though, has an alternate *ever* actually got to go to fifth grade camp? I mean they pick those people in case of sudden death, or school year ending illness. Also possibly a broken leg.

actually, this year two of the camp councilors who were supposed to go dropped out this week, both cause they are slackers, so they had to use one alternate and got Ashleigh to fill in. Isn't that ridiculous?! I mean, i know i said i wouldn't go but i never signed up in the first place, those two both signed up and both were excited about going and then they just changed their minds cause they didn't want to bother. So if i had been an alternate still, i probably would have gone for the full week.
