I feel happy that I've been able to hang with people as much as I do. A week ago Dave and I ventured into the city to visit Ryan, one of Dave's friends from school. Ryan lives in the village so we chilled for a bit and got free Magnolia cupcakes (awesomeness incarnate).

The romantic and future bits I can relate to to some extent. The grandfather thing I cannot. I don't have the greatest relationship with my family, and, while that suits me just fine, I can see how that lack of relationship can upset you. Cancer's a nasty thing, but medical technology is pretty phenomenal these days. You'd be surprised how well these sorts of things (i.e. death) can be postponed.
