Merlin Drabbles and Shorts

Jan 01, 2020 10:03

I was late discovering the merlin100 community (they were on prompt #55) and I wanted to go back and do all the previous prompts so I decided to create this one post that would contain all the drabbles I've done for 'Merlin'. Some of them aren't technically drabbles but I've tried to retain at least a bit of the challenge of writing a drabble by limiting ( Read more... )

Thank you so much! I almost didn't include the longer version because I went so far over the 100-word limit, but I kind of liked it, too, so I kept it. :)

Thanks! And I'm so afraid the knights are all fried, too, except maybe those few who were scattered around the ground before the dragon lit the bbq. Every so often I check Rupert Young's imdb page to see if he has a new project listed, but so far, nothing, so...maybe he'll be back. *crosses fingers*

FFFFFFF these are all gorgeous.
So descriptive and pretty and I want to eat them all. :D
Oh Uther, you're just like Sherlock Holmes. x333
You are still one of my most favouritest Merlin writers evar. ~<3

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked them. :) Ah ha, I can just see Uther in a tweed jacket and cap with a pipe (actually, Anthony Head would make a great Holmes!)

I wish I could write something longer again - I seem to have developed some sort of block about fic over 500 words, lol. I'm hoping that drabble-writing will get me kick-started!

Just read your 500-word Of Possets, Furs and Arthur - very sweet; Merlin sure can waggle his tail ;)

And then I read your first drabble, The Scent of Memory - lovely and evocative. I hope to read the rest when I have time <3

Thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed them!

And feel free to drop into this post if you're ever bored and want something really short to read, lol. This is going to be my 'master' post of all my drabbles and super-short stories, so it'll just keep growing and growing... :)

I loved reading all of these.
My fave was 'A Man So Worthy.' It was really 'touching'.
'Of Possets, Furs, and Arthur' gave me the warmest feeling though, especially as it's so freezing here at the moment. ;)

One of the things I dread we'll see on the show some day, is the loss of Gaius and that's where 'A Man So Worthy' came from, I think. The Witchfinder ep was pure torture to me!

I'm so glad you liked these - thanks for reading and commenting! :)

I really enjoyed "Of Possets." Arthur's kindness and Merlin's happiness and the underlying warmth of it.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I think the thing I love best about 'Merlin' is that it's actually canon that Arthur and Merlin keep growing closer and closer; makes it so easy for me to imagine little scenes like this one. :)
