Title: The Physician’s Apprentice

Pairing: Merlin/Arthur
Medium: 100% digital with about 80% being a photomanip and the other, say, roughly 20% being drawn/painted. I didn’t have hi-res screencaps, so a lot of the detail from their faces was lost and had to be drawn in - the eyes were completely gone and were just dark, fuzzy blobs

Actually, in a bit, I'm going to take a break from (my poor attempts at) writing, because my brain hurts!, and read over your last email/attachment. I've done the fun part (for me, that's the research) and now the actual writing is painfully laborious and I'd really much rather be reading someone else's work! :D

I've got lots and lots of research, though. If the story doesn't come together, maybe I should just compile my findings into something that fandom could maybe make use of! :)

Thanks so much! And yes, Merlin's healing Arthur! I thought about giving a little synopsis of what's going on in the pic, but then I thought, maybe I shouldn't give too much away just in case I do get the story finished. But Arthur's wound was actually much more severe -- this is as it's almost healed. :)

I hope I can stay with the story until it's done! I love doing research, and that part's done, so now it's a matter of sticking with the (for me) much harder part of actually writing the story. *g*

Well...lol, I can't say! It would give away a lot of the big reveal! *g* I will say that it is in the future, but the not so far off future. Depending on what happens in the last ep of the series, it may be something that follows directly after the Labyrinth ep, or if they don't leave us with an awful cliffhanger, I may include references to that ep, too. That way, it'll be a nice, long while before the show's canon makes the story inaccurate (because I just know there's going to be a second series!) :)

It's been so long since I wrote consistently that I have a hard time guessing how long it'll be - with the holidays and all, probably not real soon. :(

Hee! I almost did break out actual pencils for this one, but looked at the mess on my drawing table and went,'meh, digital', instead. :D Glad you liked my little manippy thing - the sweet expression on Merlin's face as he looks at Arthur's lips is all Colin. ♥

Hi remeciel! Thanks so much - I loved working with the colors here (they were pretty drab in the screencap, so I tweaked them)...the golden fleshtones with the teals and blues. I'd meant to go back and make Merlin's shirt a more vibrant red, but I see I forgot!

I don't know if you're watching Merlin, but I'd love to see you making artwork for this fandom! I think it would be a time period/style that you'd love. :)
