Thank you! I'm really happy that it struck you as 'clear and quiet' because after watching the ep, that was the mood I felt they left Ealdor in -- they'd succeeded, but at a cost, and everyone seemed kind of subdued and quiet (poor Merlin.)

Yes! Same here. That was the 1st ep that left me really needing more -- not in a bad way, the ep was great -- just in the sense that they gave us so much good stuff to think about and work with. I had a marathon re-watching session this weekend and it's wonderful how clearly you can see how Arthur has grown and matured since Merlin's arrival.
