*sigh* I've been really down-in-the-dumps since Friday. I was supposed to have a root canal done at the dentist's and they put a ton of lidocaine gel at the back of my mouth near the tooth. My throat started going numb and it felt like it was swelling shut and I had a full-blown panic attack for the first time in years. So I didn't get the dental work done and I don't know what I'm going to do now. Luckily, the tooth doesn't hurt at all, so I have time to figure something out, hopefully. Actually, I'm not entirely sure it was strictly a panic attack, because my throat still feels kind of scratchy and 'burnt' (for lack of a better word.)

I was in need of a sweet, cuddly, angst-free Sam/Dean image to distract myself from my dental failure, lol. Glad you liked it too! :o)

This happened the last time I had a filling done. I swallowed some of the topical numbing stuff and panicked when I couldn't swallow. They told me it would wear off within a minute or two and, thankfully it did.

That's what they told me, too, and it did wear off fairly quickly. But then I was too chicken to try again! The dentist told me that the shot they would give me would last about two hours, so I was terrified to let them try it in case it affected me the same way as the numbing gel. I've had fillings done with no painkiller whatsoever, but I don't think that's going to work on a root canal. *sigh*

Thank you very much! Nope, I didn't draw this one - it's (almost) 100% Photoshop. I did a manip then filtered it to death. So glad you liked it, and thanks for the 'feel better'! :o)
